A Brief History of American Games
Lottery Services
American
Games’ history began in the 1970s with the operation
of a respected Nebraska printing company called Precision
Service and Supply. As the company grew, a division called
Precision Games soon emerged that specialized in pull tab
tickets and sheet-fed Bingo paper. In 1985, this division
emerged as a whole new company, American Games.
Within two years, the company gained the attention and confidence
of state lottery jurisdictions. As a pioneer in pull tab
product development, the company was privileged to work
with Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Massachusetts for the introduction
of pull tabs to those states’ players and lottery
personnel.
Nearly
two decades since opening our doors, American Games has
over 200 employees and a solid customer base covering nearly
40 U.S. states as well as a number of overseas clients.
Clients
American Games is proud to have produced billions of pull
tab tickets for United States lotteries and foreign clients.
Over
its first decade, American Games was – and continues
to be – entrusted with the responsibility of producing
pull tabs for numerous state lotteries. Notable clients
have included Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Massachusetts,
Michigan, Missouri and Rhode Island. Foreign clients have
included lottery and marketing groups in England, Sweden,
Azerbaijan, Lithuania, the Philippines, Brazil and the Dominican
Republic.
Innovative
Product Development
American Games’ position as an industry trendsetter
has been reinforced by the development of our Pull Tab Vending
Machines (PTVMs).
Years
of research and development were dedicated to perfecting
an attractive, user-friendly, fully accountable and secure
PTVM. In 1997, American Games introduced a series with report
printing capability and the potential to upgrade for prize
validation, dial-up and networking capabilities in response
to state lottery needs. Ease of service and maintenance
make our PTVMs ideal for both individual proprietor and
multi-location lottery applications. We are now also producing
Instant Ticket Vending Machines (ITVMs) as well.
American
Games also produces the highly rated AccuCounter™
pull tab counting machine, which brings additional efficiencies
to product management.
The
Future
The future of American Games has never been brighter.
In January
2002, the company joined forces with Pollard Banknote Limited,
a worldwide gaming industry giant with clients all over
the globe and nearly a century of security printing experience.
By combining American Games’ pull tab and ticket vending
expertise with Pollard Banknote’s experience as a
major provider of scratch off tickets and other lottery
services, our clients will have access to wider spectrum
of products and services, backed collectively by many decades
of product development and a singular vision of quality
and innovation.
In this
new age, American Games is committed more than ever to developing
products that blend high-tech methods with pride in craftsmanship
and quality.
